Edinburgh is a northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Salisbury. It is an industrial suburb dominated by RAAF Base Edinburgh and DSTO Edinburgh.

It was created in 1997 when it was split from the suburb of Salisbury when the Australian Department of Defence decided to rationalise the then "DSTO Salisbury" site and sell off about 70% of the site, and surrounding "Defence-owned" Crown land, to form the "Edinburgh Parks" industrial estate.

Now, in addition to the RAAF Base and DSTO, there are a number of Defence contractors, a number of automotive component and parts manufacturers, and other industries, on land no longer required by the Department of Defence.

Edinburgh Parks is one of Australia's largest advanced industrial precincts and has more than 300 hectares of fully developed land available. Edinburgh Parks is $1.9 billion investment and comprises four precincts designated for aerospace and manufacturing, defence technology, logistics support and automotive industries. Edinburgh Parks industrial blocks are among the best value industrial land in Australia. The site is ideally located in a major industrial growth corridor connected by Adelaide's new northern super highway system.

Earlier stages of Edinburgh Parks have seen some of the biggest names in the Australian private sector established within the site such as: the Australian Head Quarters of BAE Systems Australia;DHL;Inghams;MTU Detroit Diesel;Coles Distribution Centre;Cape;Rocla;Kimberley-Clark;and Lockheed Martin. Its estimated that over 3000 jobs have been created. Edinburgh Parks land is fueling a large part of the growth which is occurring in Adelaide's north. This can be contributed to being just 30 minutes away from Adelaide's International Airport and 20 minutes north of Adelaide's central business district. The port of Adelaide serves the states export focused industries and is within 15 minutes of the Adelaide-Darwin rail exchange providing a local and efficient means of moving freight. Industrial grade roads link all parts of Australia to Northern Adelaide. Further infrastructure upgrades are currently being undertaking to provide even better accessibility to the port of Adelaide and Adelaide International Airport.
