Beaconsfield is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 46 km south-east from Melbourne's central business district. Its Local Government Area is the Shire of Cardinia. At the 2006 Census, Beaconsfield had a population of 3846.
It was the creation of the railway station at the Cardinia Creek crossing that lead to the naming of the area. Benjamin Disraeli, had died the day before rail submission was agreed to and the name Beaconsfield was suggested in his honour.
