Allawah is a suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Allawah is located 16 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district and is part of the St George area. In 1808, an area including and surrounding Allawah was given, via a land grant, to Captain John Townson. The grant extended from King Georges Road and Stoney Creek Road to beyond Kogarah railway station.
